Invited to the Hollywood Bowl, I promised to bring the wine. Nothing that demands Riedel, my friend cautioned. OK, so I won’t bring any precious, breakable glasses. But I did come up with something better than a plastic cup: [wine glasses] made from BPA-free polymer. No stem, but the shape is perfect. They’re as thin and transparent as crystal glasses, and when you’re trudging up that hill, you’ll be grateful they don’t weigh much either.
