Gabriela Ortiz’s Revolución diamantina and Yanga represent the pinnacle of the LA Phil’s celebrated Latin American series—visceral, vibrant works that pulse with Mexican identity, rhythmic fire, and orchestral brilliance. Conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, these landmark recordings capture the Los Angeles Philharmonic at its most electrifying alongside the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Tambuco Percussion Ensemble, violinist María Dueñas, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and pianist Joanne Pearce Martin.
