Mahler: Symphony No. 9 - Dudamel & Los Angeles Philharmonic (2 CD)
Conductor: Gustavo Dudamel
Orchestra: Los Angeles Philharmonic
In their debut CD together, Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic bring to life Mahler's beautiful and heartbreaking 9th symphony--his last completed work and one which he never heard performed.
Recorded in LA's acoustically superb Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2012 as part of the Mahler Project--a massive undertaking in which all nine of Mahler's completed symphonies were performed twice, by two orchestras, on two continents, in a single month!
